South Korean actor Jo Byeong-gyu is set to join Filipino stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, popularly known as the loveteam “KimPau,” in the upcoming Prime Video original series "Kopino."

The project was recently unveiled as part of Prime Video’s upcoming slate of original series for 2026. Produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment, the new romantic series will explore the lives and experiences of Korean-Filipino individuals and their complex family histories.

Production is expected to include filming in both the Philippines and South Korea. “We will go to Korea and shoot some of the scenes with Korean actors,” Kim said during the launch event.

The series highlights another collaboration for Kim, 35, and Paulo, 37, who previously starred in the Philippine version of the Korean romantic-comedy series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.” It also marks their first project with Korean actors.

Jo Byeong-gyu is known for his roles in “Sky Castle,” “Hot Stove League,” and “The Uncanny Counter.” Details about Jo Byeong-gyu’s role in the series are currently kept under wraps.

"Kopino" is scheduled for release exclusively on Prime Video later this year. Further details, including the supporting cast and production timeline, have also not yet been revealed.
