Singer, composer, and musician Laufey is returning to the Philippines for a special two-night concert this May as she brings her “A Matter of Time” tour to Manila.

“Asia, Australia and New Zealand… it was only a matter of time until we made our way to you!!” Laufey wrote on social media.

In a recent post, Laufey, 26 confirmed she will take the stage at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 26 and 27, making Manila the only city with back-to-back shows on the tour's Asian leg.

The tour will kick off in Hong Kong on May 12, followed by stops in Taipei on May 15, Singapore on May 19, and Jakarta on May 23. After Manila, Laufey will head to Bangkok on May 31, before continuing the tour with shows in Kuala Lumpur on June 2, Tokyo on June 5, and Seoul on June 7.

She will resume the tour on July 25 in Perth, followed by performances in Melbourne on July 30, Brisbane on August 3, Sydney on August 7, and concluding in Auckland on August 12.

The Icelandic-Chinese singer has gained international popularity for her unique fusion of traditional jazz, classical music, and contemporary pop, which strongly resonates with Gen Z and millennial audiences.

Last February, Laufey bagged her second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for A Matter of Time at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. She first won the same award in 2024 for her album Bewitched, which earned her the distinction of being the youngest artist to receive the award.

Laufey first performed in the Philippines in April 2023 with a two-day sold-out show. She returned in September 2024 for a one-night concert.

Her musical journey began in 2015 when she performed as a cello soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She later became a finalist on Iceland's Got Talent and a semifinalist on The Voice Iceland. Laufey is known for her songs From the Start and Lover Girl.
