Something exciting is in the air as K-Pop group Seventeen and its member Mingyu both have exciting events for Filipino fans.

K-pop idol Mingyu will visit Manila for a special fan event where lucky Filipino CARATs will meet him face to face on April 11. CARATs, which alludes to diamonds, is the official fandom of Seventeen.

Fans are required to participate in a raffle promo where they can win tickets to the exclusive solo event. Winners will each receive two tickets, giving them the opportunity to bring a companion and share an unforgettable experience with fellow CARATs.

Kim Min-gyu or simply Mingyu debuted as a member of Seventeen in May 2015 under Pledis Entertainment. The 13-member boy band is known as one group consisting of subgroups specializing in vocal, hip-hop, and performance.

Over the years, Seventeen has gained international recognition for their music, synchronized choreography, and strong connection with fans. The group is among the few K-pop groups that self-produce and have creative control over their music and performances.

Before Mingyu’s solo fan event in Manila, Seventeen will take center stage at SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR this coming March 21, at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.

The concert is expected to draw thousands of Filipino CARATs. Seventeen gained popularity in the Philippines nearly a decade ago.

Their first local concert ,“Shining Diamonds” held at The Theatre at Solaire in 2016, marked the start of their special bond with Filipino fans.
