Miss Universe Philippines officially presents 51 candidates for 2026

The much-awaited season of Miss Universe Philippines 2026 has officially started with the grand introduction of this year’s delegates on February 16.

The official 51 delegates from different cities and provinces were formally introduced during the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH)  2026 Official Reveal Parade at SM Mall of Asia at 3:00 p.m.

Many supporters and pageant fans gathered to witness the first public appearance of this year’s candidates. 

After the parade, delegates were given the opportunity to speak directly to viewers watching live and online. They answered questions and shared their thoughts on the upcoming national pageant. 

The candidates also expressed their excitement for the event and how they are preparing physically and mentally for the journey ahead.

Short headshots videos of each representative were also released online, giving fans a closer look at the women who will compete for the crown.

Miss Universe Philippines' official page quickly gained engagement with reactions and comments as viewers named their early favorites and expressed support for their hometown representatives.

Later that day, the spotlight shifted to the  Press Presentation  held at City of Dreams Manila at 5:00 p.m..

The evening event gave attendees and special guests the opportunity to meet the delegates and hear from pageant executives and officials.

The hosts of the Press Presentation were Mister Pilipinas Eco International 2025, Kitt Cortez, together with actress and former Miss Universe Philippines candidate Winwyn Marquez. 

She represented Muntinlupa in last year's national pageant and won the First Runner-Up title during the coronation night. She had also previously made history by winning the title of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017.

The Miss Universe 2013 Third Runner-Up and National Director, Ariella Arida, delivered a heartfelt message during the event: "To our 51 delegates, who are at the backstage and we can't all wait to meet them, let this mark the beginning of a beautiful journey of a lifetime. 

"Bring hearts full of gratitude as you face the daily activities ahead because nothing worth having comes easy. So shine with the confidence that will guide you toward your dream. Always carry within you the drive, passion, and purpose that define why you aspire to become the next Miss Universe Philippines," Arida said.

The delegates of MUPH 2026 wore beautiful gowns in eye-catching colors. Some wore long red gowns, while others wore different shades of pink. 

Also present at the event was Ahtisa Manalo, Miss Universe 2025 Third Runner-Up. She impressed fans once again with her elegant pose and camera-ready presence, wearing a blue body-hugging gown. Many admired how she carried herself. 

Ahead of the official introduction of candidates, a significant announcement was made on February 12 regarding the creative direction of this year’s MUPH. 

Tei Endencia officially renewed his partnership as the Official Event Stylist of Miss Universe Philippines. 

The contract signing was attended by MUPH President Jonas Gaffud and Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag.

For MUPH 2026, Endencia will once again lead the conceptualization, styling, and set design for all major Miss Universe Philippines events.

With the official reveal now complete, the competition officially enters a new phase. Over the next few months, the candidates will prepare and undergo preliminaries as they compete for the crown. 

The winner of this national pageant will represent the country at the 75th international edition in Puerto Rico later this year.
