Robin Padilla for Vice President? Aalis na ako ng Pilipinas- Kylie Padilla

In a recent interview for the film ‘The Lotto Winner,’ Filipino actress Kylie Padilla, 33, reacted to her father Robin Padilla’s comments about a potential vice presidential run.

 She joked about packing her things, saying, “Aalis na ako ng Pilipinas,” repeating it twice before adding, “I trusted my father’s judgment.”

The video immediately went viral, receiving different reactions online. Some viewers laughed at her blunt humor, others agreed with her response, and some fans even relate her reaction to her iconic role as Amihan in Encantadia. 

Many commented that her short, witty response didn’t need further explanation, as her expression and words already conveyed everything.

Kylie later clarified her previous statements. She said, "I only meant that aalis po ako ng pilipinas kasi gusto ko ng tahimik na buhay. It was not a comment to insult my father because I trust in his judgement and all the good he is doing for the country.

"But I think it is also my right to know what kind of life I want to live. And that is a quiet peaceful life. Yun lng po," she concluded.

Actor and Senator Robin Padilla, 57,  earlier said that he would only run for vice president if former President Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte gave his approval. 

The senator said on his Facebook live broadcast on Sunday, “Kung sakaling sabihin ni Digong na tumakbo akong VP, tatanungin ko muna sya kung ano ang dahilan.” 

 He added, “Kailangan [may] dahilan, katulad nung pinatakbo niya akong senador. Kasi ilang beses na po akong inalok ni Digong. 2019 pa lang inalok na ko ni Digong tumakbo at hindi niya po ako nakumbinse noong panahong iyon.”

He also noted that there are other senators who could potentially become the next vice president.

Kylie Padilla has starred in popular Filipino TV series including The Good Daughter, Mga Lihim ni Urduja, Bolera, and Encantadia. 

She stars in her latest film The Lotto Winner alongside Albert Martinez. She is the daughter of former actress Liezel Sicangco and  Robin Padilla.
