Residents of the Iranian capital Tehran expressed hope on Tuesday (March 17) that any future ceasefire to end the conflict would result in an end to Iran's international political isolation as the war entered its 18th day.
Billboards, banners and posters in Tehran showed images of the assassinated Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his son and successor Mojtaba Khamenei.
US President Donald Trump called on allies over the weekend to help secure the Strait of Hormuz as Iranian forces continue attacks on the vital waterway amid the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
Iran has effectively shut the Strait, a narrow passage of water between Iran and Oman, choking off a fifth of global oil supply in the biggest disruption ever.
