Nightlife venues in Beirut are keeping their doors open as the deadly conflict rages on, with clubs using weekend events to raise money for local NGOs supporting communities affected by the war.
"We always have wars in Lebanon… we can't stop living,” said 25‑year‑old dentist Georges al Amil.
Despite the strains of conflict, Beirut’s clubs remain crowded, offering a rare space for relief while channelling part of their revenue to humanitarian efforts.
The Hezbollah-Israel conflict has become the deadliest spillover of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran since the Iran-backed group fired at Israel in support of Tehran on March 2, with at least 1,000 people killed in Lebanon and one million displaced, according to local authorities.
