Israeli mother Ortal Kondo sought shelter with her children at  underground parking lots as air raid sirens continue ringing through the northern city of Haifa warning for coming missiles from Lebanon or Iran.

Kondo, a mother of four, said she chose to relocate underground, allowing her children for a sense of security, as her home does not have a safety room to shelter from the threat of incoming retaliatory missiles.

"We are here since day one of the war, I told the kids I don't want to stay at home where there is no shelter or safe room or anything. I want to feel more comfortable than being under stress."

The 38-year-old added, "Children are playing and joyful, they do not know anything, they don't hear the sirens alert unless people come and say there is a siren or if we get phone alerts, aside from that, nothing."

The strikes the United States and Israel launched as part of a large-scale assault on Saturday (February 28).

As the war entered its third week, Iran, however, has shown no sign of capitulating or bowing to U.S.-Israeli military pressure. Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who replaced his slain father, has said the strategic waterway should remain closed as a tool of pressure.
