PRC: Visayas State University grad tops Mechanical Engineers Licensure Exam
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 3,264 out of 6,294 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination, with results released just three working days after the exams. Jose Arnil Colina Corong Jr. of Visayas State University led the passers with a 93.25% rating.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said a graduate of the Visayas State University took the top spot among the 3,264 examinees who passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE).
The PRC said 6,294 graduates took the February 2026 MELE.
However, the examination results of five examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.
The MELE topnotchers include:
Jose Arnil Colina Corong Jr. of Visayas State University (For.Visca,Lsu.)-Baybay topped the exam with a rating of 93.25%.
John Lester Crisolo Gino of University of Cebu with a rating of 92.75%.
John Angelo Macedo Marzan of President Ramon Magsaysay State University-Iba with a rating of 91.55%.
