Iron Heads GC is getting more than just a new name in LIV Golf – the team will also feature a revamped roster and a new captain.
Kevin Na, who captained Iron Heads since LIV’s launch four years ago but managed just one top-10 finish in 48 LIV appearances, has been replaced by Byeong Hun An, who is leaving the PGA Tour.
An shared on X, “Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, I felt it was time for a new chapter and a fresh challenge in my life. As such, I have decided to continue my professional career with LIV Golf, taking on the role of Captain for Korean Golf Club.
“I have always been passionate about supporting junior golfers and the next generation of players. While this is just the beginning, I want to help these athletes realize their dreams on the world stage.”
LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil said in a statement, “The arrival of Ben underscores our long-term commitment to—and deep belief in—the Korean market and the important role it plays in shaping the future of global golf. Ben represents a generation of elite athletes who value expanding the game's reach, competing at the highest level on an international stage, and carrying the responsibility of representing their country with pride.”
The newly rebranded Korean Golf Club wrote on X late Tuesday, “Thank you, Kevin. Kevin Na closes his LIV Golf chapter leaving behind a lasting mark on the league and team.” Neither the team nor Na provided a reason for his departure.
Na’s teammate, Jinichiro Kozuma of Japan, also was let go despite being the squad’s leading performer in 2025. Kozuma finished 32nd in the overall standings despite missing five regular-season events due to a back injury. Na finished 44th.
Kozuma posted on X, “I’m looking forward to seeing if they’re a better player than I am.” He will be replaced on the 2026 roster by Korean golfer Minkyu Kim, the youngest player ever to win on the Challenge Tour.
Yubin Jang of South Korea is also off the roster after finishing 53rd in the player standings. The only returning player from last season’s roster is Korean-born New Zealander Danny Lee. The team added 34-year-old Korean Younghan Song on Wednesday.
Iron Heads finished last among 13 teams in LIV Golf in 2025.
The roster changes follow the team’s official rebranding announcement.
“At the heart of Korean Golf Club’s brand is an emphasis on honor, inclusivity, and collective strength,” LIV Golf said. “Inspired by the Korean concept of brotherhood, denoting respect, trust, and guidance within close relationships, Korean Golf Club celebrates unity and togetherness, and the connective power of golf.”
The rebrand also introduces a new logo and team colors. The logo features a white tiger, which the team said “is a revered figure in Korean folklore and history. As the ‘protector and guardian,’ it embodies the strength and tenacity of the Korean Golf Club and its home country.”
LIV Golf hosted its first event in South Korea in 2025, which inspired the team to focus on the South Korean market.
“We were inspired after LIV Korea 2025. Seeing the energy of the thousands of young fans who showed up,” said Korean GC general manager Martin Kim. “Our tagline ‘Welcome to the club’ reflects the opportunity we saw to create a new space for young fans showing up.”
