Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett each erupted for 33 points Thursday night, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 126-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

Barnes, who also recorded 11 assists and five rebounds, and Barrett's stellar performance helped Toronto reduce Cleveland's series lead to 2-1. The Raptors, energized by a strong fourth-quarter surge, dominated late in the game, with reserve Jamison Battle contributing all of his 14 points in the final period.

Battle’s red-hot shooting sparked a 13-4 run, giving Toronto a nine-point lead after he drained his third 3-pointer of the quarter. The Raptors stretched their advantage to 11 points on Barrett's trey with 5:41 remaining, and Battle added another 3-pointer to push the lead to 17 points with just 3:45 left.

Rookie Collin Murray-Boyles was also crucial for the Raptors, scoring 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Brandon Ingram chipped in 12 points, and the team made the most of Cleveland’s 22 turnovers, capitalizing on mistakes throughout the game.

For the Cavaliers, James Harden led the way with 18 points, but his team's careless play was evident in their high turnover count. Donovan Mitchell was held to just 15 points, while Max Strus and Evan Mobley both scored 15. Jaylon Tyson added 13, and Jarrett Allen chipped in 12 points.

The game was tight throughout, with 13 lead changes and 13 ties. Toronto took a slim two-point lead into the final quarter, and the two teams battled back and forth until Battle's pivotal fourth-quarter performance.

In the opening minutes of the game, the Raptors took a 31-25 lead after one quarter, capitalizing on Cleveland's nine turnovers. The Cavaliers responded in the second quarter, with Tyson’s corner 3-pointer capping a 9-0 run to bring Cleveland within one point. However, Strus’ subsequent 3-pointer gave the Cavaliers a two-point lead with just under a minute remaining in the half. Toronto managed to tie the game at 54 by halftime, with Murray-Boyles finishing the scoring with a dunk off a Barnes steal.

Cleveland's brief lead early in the third quarter was erased when Barnes made two free throws, and Harden’s six consecutive points quickly countered. Strus’ 3-pointer gave Cleveland a one-point lead, but the Raptors regained control on Murray-Boyles' dunk. Barnes’ 15-footer at the end of the third quarter gave Toronto an 83-81 lead.

The Raptors now head into Game 4 with renewed momentum as they look to even the series on Sunday in Toronto.
