Colombia's Osorio eliminates Eala, advances to Philippine Women's Open semifinals

Osorio advances to the semifinals of the WTA 125 Philippine Women's Open after downing  Eala in straight sets.

It is the end of the road for hometown bet Alex Eala after Camila Osorio of Colombia dropped her in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, in the quarterfinal round of the WTA 125 Philippine Women's Open at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines on January 29, 2026.


The world number 84 Osorio relied on her arsenal which included timely drop shots and slices to neutralize the more aggressive number 49 Eala . This was their first professional match.


Osorio will face the hard hitting Solana Sierra of Argentina in the semifinals tomorrow.
