TURIN, Italy — Champions-elect Inter Milan were held to a 2-2 draw by Torino FC on Sunday after surrendering a two-goal lead, keeping the Serie A title race mathematically alive but firmly in their control.

Inter remain top of the standings with 79 points, 10 points clear of second-placed Napoli, who strengthened their push with a 4-0 win over Cremonese on Friday. AC Milan sit third, three points behind Napoli, while Juventus are fourth ahead of their home fixture later Sunday. Torino are 13th with 41 points.

Inter looked on course for another comfortable victory after Marcus Thuram opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. Yann Bisseck extended the lead shortly after halftime, finishing from close range to put the visitors in full control.

However, Torino mounted a strong comeback in the final stages. Giovanni Simeone pulled one back with 20 minutes remaining, shifting momentum toward the hosts. The equalizer arrived nine minutes later when Nikola Vlasic converted from the penalty spot to secure a dramatic point for Torino.

The result prevents Inter from officially sealing the title this weekend, though they remain in a commanding position with only a handful of matches left in the season. -Reporting by Trevor Stynes; Editing by Ken Ferris/Reuters
