Filipino actress Angelica Panganiban earned a Best Lead Actor (Female) nomination at the Global OTT Awards 2026 for her performance in the crime-thriller series “The Silent Noise.” The series also received a "Best Asian Contents' nomination, placing both Panganiban and the show in the “Competition Category” of this year’s awards.

Panganiban, 39, is competing alongside Korean actresses Shin Hye-sun for “The Art of Sarah,” Kim You-jung for “Dear X,” Park Bo-young for “Gold Land,” and Japanese actress Ko Shibasaki for “Scandal Eve.”

Aside from The Silent Noise,”  the other nominees for ‘Best Asian Contents' are “The Believers 2,” “City Founding Pioneer,” “Hirayasumi,” “Pursuit of Jade,” and “Shine on Me.”

Last year, the drama series “Saving Grace,” starring Julia Montes and Sharon Cuneta, was also nominated for Best Asian Contents.

The Global OTT Awards is an international awards ceremony recognizing the platforms, creators, and content shaping the streaming media era across drama, variety, and music. This year’s edition features 19 categories in total, including 14 under the Competition Category and five under the Invitation Category.

"The Silent Noise," which premiered on Prime Video Philippines on March 20, 2026, is a crime thriller starring Zanjoe Marudo, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya Orquia, KD Omalin, and Mylene Dizon. The series follows a family in a coastal town whose lives are shaken by the mysterious death of a teacher.

Following the announcement, several celebrities congratulated Angelica Panganiban on social media, including Kim Chiu and Heart Evangelista.

The awards night for the Global OTT Awards 2026 will take place at the Busan Cinema Center in South Korea on June 20 at 7:30 p.m. KST.
