Korean actor and singer Yoo Seon Ho is bidding farewell to the weekend variety-reality show “2 Days & 1 Night” after staying for 3 years and 6 months.

According to The Chosun Daily, the show's production team announced on Tuesday, May 12, that Yoo will appear in his final episode on May 31. He will bid goodbye to viewers during that broadcast after completing his scenes with the cast.

Soompi reported that during his last day of shooting, the actor reflected on his time on the show, saying that “2 Days & 1 Night” was a major part of his 20s and his travels across the country are unforgettable. Yoo is very grateful to his fellow cast members, calling them dependable older brothers who will continue to be part of his life beyond the show.

He also thanked viewers for their love and support throughout his journey. He recently took a short break from the program due to a back injury sustained during theater rehearsals. Yoo later returned after a full recovery.

Meanwhile, the production team also showed their appreciation by thanking him for the energy he brought to the show.  They also wish him success as he continues his career as an actor.

The variety show premiered in August 2007.  Yoo joined the program in December 2022 as the “maknae” or the youngest cast member. His bright energy, sincere personality, and comedic timing received positive comments from viewers. 

He also developed chemistry with Moon Se-yoon in their “foodie brothers” pairing and with DinDin as the “weakest duo,” which resulted in many memorable comedic moments.

Yoo recently appeared in romance-comedy series “Boyfriend On Demand” and in other projects, including TV dramas like “Oh My Ghost Clients,” “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,” and “Under the Queen’s Umbrella.”
