Romance or Collab? Maris Racal, Gian Bernardino’s ‘plot twist’ post leaves followers guessing

Filipino actress and singer Maris Racal sparked online speculation after sharing Instagram photos of her with Gian Bernardino, one of the lead vocalists of OPM band Cup of Joe.

In the photos, Gian, 24 is seen leaning on Maris’ shoulder while the 28-year-old actress holds a bouquet of flowers. She simply captioned the post, “plot twist,” a short but intriguing phrase that immediately caught the attention of fans and followers alike.

Reactions quickly poured in from both supporters and fellow celebrities. Some expressed excitement and encouragement, including content creator and podcast host Dani Barretto, who left several heart emojis in the comments section.

While some fans admitted they were surprised, others suggested that the photos might be teasing an upcoming music collaboration rather than confirming a relationship. 

The speculation also reignited conversations about Maris’ past relationships, particularly her recent relationship with Filipino musician Rico Blanco. The Sunshine star was also linked to her on-screen partner and Filipino actor Anthony Jennings, although their special friendship never developed beyond that.
