Divers bring holiday cheer underwater: Santa hats and a decorated tree make a splash in Lake Ohrid, North Macedonia, honoring children with rare diseases.
Divers brought a bit of festive fun to the depths of one of Europe's deepest lakes on Saturday (December 20).
Members of the Amphora Diving Club donned Santa hats and dived down into Lake Ohrid on Saturday (December 20), taking a fully decked-out Christmas and New Year's tree to the lake floor.
In North Macedonia, where many celebrate Christmas in early January, decorated trees are part of New Year celebrations, as well as a staple of the Christian holiday.
The tree, which the diver club have dedicated to children with rare diseases, is part of the Gradishte 'Museum on Water' which features a range of underwater oddities.
