The IdeaFirst Company  said auditions for the musical adaptation of "Die Beautiful" movie will begin in March.

"Die Beautiful" The Musical brings to life the story of Trisha, a Filipino transgender woman whose final wish was to remain beautiful even in death.

Aspiring performers now have the chance to join the cast and bring this iconic story to life on stage.  The musical will provide performers a platform to showcase their talents while celebrating self-expression, strength, and the beauty of living true to oneself.

The IdeaFirst company shared a 20-second video giving viewers a close-up sneak peek of the lead character’s costume from the original film.

SING AND DANCE IN DRAG

For the musical, the entertainment company is seeking actors of any gender, ages 20 to 40, who can sing, dance, act, and perform in drag.

According to the post of The IdeaFirst Company, auditions will begin in March 2026. The  exact date, time, and venue details will be sent directly to applicants through the contact information provided in the registration form.

Applicants are required to prepare one Filipino or Tagalog song and one monologue from Die Beautiful film. They must also know how to follow choreography during the audition.

Online registration must be completed prior to attending, and the deadline is March 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

The IdeaFirst Company emphasizes that no completed form equals no audition, so all applicants must submit their information through the official registration link.

The form requests personal details such as full name, age, birthdate, contact number, and more. Applicants are also required to upload a recent close-up headshot, full-body photo, and their latest resumé.

10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 'DIE BEAUTIFUL'

The original 'Die Beautiful' comedy-drama film starred actor, comedian, and host Paolo Ballesteros, who portrayed the character Trisha Echevarria.

His performance earned him the Best Actor award at the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival, as noted in Ballesteros’ post announcing his win, according to his profile on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB).

IMDb confirms that the film also received major awards at the 42nd Metro Manila Film Festival, including Best Supporting Actor for Filipino Actor and CEO Christian Bables and the My Most Favorite Film/Audience Choice Award for Die Beautiful.
