Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre are teaming up for the first time in the upcoming Viu original series “Love, Siargao.” On Tuesday, Viu unveiled the full cast of its upcoming romance and drama series.
Joining the lead pair are Coleen Garcia, Kyline Alcantara, Gab Lagman, Kakki Teodoro, Adrian Lindayag, AZ Martinez, Vince Maristela, influencer Christopher Diwata, and South Korean actors Kim Ji-soo.
The series, scheduled to premiere in June 2026, is a collaboration between Viu and Viva Entertainment.
The story follows Jao (Alden) and Kara (Nadine), two strangers whose paths cross as they navigate love, passion, and fate. Filming took place on location in Siargao, highlighting the island’s beaches, food and local culture.
Alden shared that he has long admired Nadine’s work and considers it an honor to work with her. He is also looking forward to the project.
Nadine, meanwhile, said the story feels personal to her and expressed happiness about returning to series work after a long break since her last major project.
Before their solo careers, Nadine was part of the “JaDine” love team with James Reid, while Alden gained popularity as part of the former love team “AlDub” with Maine Mendoza.
Both actors continue to stay active in their individual careers. Nadine Lustre last appeared in the 2023 action miniseries “Roadkillers.”
She has been spending much of her time in Siargao since 2021, where she owns a home and embraces a slower, nature-focused lifestyle.
Nadine also co-owns a vegan restaurant, with her partner Christophe Bariou. Their other ventures include wine and plant-based coconut milk products.
Alden is currently preparing for the medical drama “Code Gray,” where he will star alongside veteran actor Christopher de Leon. He has also been focusing on fitness, finishing strongly at a triathlon's bicycle relay.
