The comedy duo of Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro are back, reuniting after 15 years in “Focker-in-Law,” the fourth installment in the “Meet the Parents" film series.

Following the success of "Meet the Parents" (2000), Stiller and De Niro reprised their roles as Greg Focker and Jack Byrnes in "Meet the Fockers" (2004) and "Little Fockers" (2010). 

According to The News International,   De Niro, 82, and Stiller, 60, discussed Ariana Grande’s addition to the cast with De Niro praising Grande’s performance, calling her one of the most impressive scene partners he has worked with.

Stiller, in jest, suggested that Grande could be seen as a new version of himself. De Niro then teased Stiller about awards recognition, humorously referencing Grande’s Oscar nomination in comparison to Stiller’s career, prompting a back-and-forth that played off their long-running on-screen rivalry.

Universal Pictures released the first trailer on April 16, showing the return of both actors alongside new cast members. Skyler Gisondo stars as Henry Focker, the son of Greg Focker (Stiller), while Grande plays Olivia Jones, Henry’s fiancée.

The video also shows Jack Byrnes once again using his lie detector test on Olivia, who manages to pass and is welcomed into the family’s 'circle of trust.'

The film centers on Henry and Olivia’s engagement, which leads to renewed family tension and complications within the Focker household. 

Returning cast members also include Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo. Beanie Feldstein also joins the cast. John Hamburg will serve as the new director of the film, having previously worked as screenwriter for the franchise.

"Focker-in-Law" is scheduled for release on November 25, 2026.
